Retreat to the Kasbah
Morocco 11-17th May 2025
Join me for five full days (six nights) of Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Mantra, Pranayama, meditation and a posture workshop at this beautiful Kasbah Eco Lodge in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains in Southern Morocco. Gold Winner at the International Responsible Tourism Award, nestled in the UNESCO Argan Biosphere Reserve, with gardens of organic vegetables, fruits and herbs, breathtaking sunrises and magical aromas, giving you the opportunity to commune with nature in a clean and pure environment.
Yoga
Tasya hetur avidya (Yoga Sutra 2.24)
Freedom is remembering who we are.

Deepen your practise with a six night immersion in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Five mornings of meditation, pranayama, mantra and dynamic Rocket style vinyasa (4 Beat - breath is timed to the beat). Five quieter evenings of grounding yin and hatha giving us space to observe and look deeper in. An optional offering of a posture clinic, a chance to workshop foundational questions you never get chance to ask in class, sharing information on various asanas, alignments, variations and tips.
This week is a chance to gain understanding and insight into the basics of yoga philosophy. Woven through our daily practises we will look at Patanjali's 8 limbs of classical yoga, touching on ethics, asana, pranayama, then beyond the physical practise into meditation techniques in which the Yoga Sutras guide us to Samadhi, or freedom.

Our daily practise setting will vary from the Kasbah rooftop with spectacular landscape views of magical floating morning mists laying along the valley below, an indoor shala with panoramic windows and views across the Argan tree dotted hills, unforgettable photogenic sunrises over the rooftop pool, or one of the two outdoor shalas surrounded by jasmine and neroli scented gardens.

The Kasbah is entirely ours to explore.
Accomodation
Spacious and comfortable rooms

This venue in Morocco is like nowhere else for those who love open spaces, nature and calm, in the unique context of an Atlas Kasbah just over two hours from Marrakesh and 20 minutes from Agadir.
Use of noble, green materials such as earth and wood provides the lodge’s rooms with natural authenticity. The combination of shades of ochre with white cactus silk melts into the Southern Moroccan sunlight. Traditional furniture, sculpted wooden doors, Tadelakt plaster and rammed earth echo the riches and ancestral knowledge of Moroccan craftsmanship and evoke the gentle pleasures of local living.
The 9 double/twin guest rooms and 3 family suites are spacious, light with large comfortable beds, offering a subtle blend of traditional Berber and European elements. All are en-suite with shower and Wifi.

Rooms in the towers come with a private terrace and superb views over the argan groves. All the rooms are lovely and have a variety of views over the gardens. Rooms will sell fast so early booking is advised.
Food
Climate friendly, organic, freshly cooked food

The Kasbah is a committed member of the climate-friendly menu initiative.
This means traceability of products and trusted relationships with suppliers ensuring better product quality and a commitment to
protecting the environment via concrete action against climate change.

Expect aromatic, deliciously nutritious, home cooked traditional Moroccan main courses (tagine, bastilla and of course cous cous) and sweet treats including beautiful little pastries and cakes, made from locally sourced in-season produce. (Vegan, vegetarian and meat options available). A large selection of herbal teas picked from the gardens, uniquely spiced aromatic coffee and fresh juices. About me
In 2010 a physiotherapist ordered me to yoga to try and fix my knee - weak quads and imbalances had caused patella tracking and dislocation injuries since my teens. As so many yoga stories go, the knee improved, and then everything about my life began to change. From hot yoga, forest, Jivamukti and Ashtanga, I tried it all and on a quest to get closer to the philosophy and roots of yoga, I took Yogasana 200 hour TT in 2015 with Stewart Gilchrist. Trauma training with Yogamala, 20 hours pranayama with Richard Rosen and 50 hours Rocket/20 hours Yin with Marcus Veda and Hannah Whittingham. I currently teach dynamic vinyasa across east London from Walthamstow to Liverpool street and now you can join me on retreats throughout the year.
